    Discontinued items

    Due to the ever evolving nature of electronic technology, this website may contain items which could become obsolete or discontinued. Despite our best intentions, some items may become obsolete or superseded before we are able to remove it from our website.

    Minimum order

    Our minimum internet order value is $20.00 inc GST exclusive of delivery charge.

    Stock availability and rainchecks

    At Altronics we endeavour to ensure stock availability concurrent with the life of advertisements. Should we experience an unexpected delay or should stocks quickly sell out or be unavailable for any reason we undertake to issue a "raincheck", i.e. back-order at the price advertised. Where advertised items are clearly endorsed as limited supply quantities we may not be able to supply at advertised special rates once stock is sold out.

    Transit Insurance (Aust. Only)

    Is available at the rate of $1.00 per $100 order value, i.e. with an order of $139.00 insurance would be $2.00 as would an order of $195.00. Minimum insurance $1.00. Insurance covers you against loss or damage whilst in transit and is strongly recommended for fragile items, e.g. loudspeakers. When ordering by mail please nominate insurance and include the amount as described. We do not insure your order unless you nominate. When ordering by phone you will be asked to nominate or decline insurance.

    Goods Lost or Damaged in Transit

    If you have nominated insurance contact us. Not withstanding this you may have a claim against the carrier if negligence can be proven on their behalf. If you suspect your order may have arrived damaged, i.e. carton crushed or obviously dropped, take the matter up with the carrier. We recommend you do not open the parcel except in the presence of the carrier, e.g. to verify the existence of damage or otherwise.

    Overseas Orders

    We are happy to accept orders from customers outside of Australia. Please contact us with your requirements and we can provide freight options and charges. Please note all freight rates quoted are for Australia or NZ/PNG only.

    Back Orders

    Should any item ordered be temporarily unavailable (valued over $10), we automatically place this on back order. If this is inconvenient please advise upon receipt of partial shipment or when placing the order.

    Monthly Accounts

    30 day convenience credit accounts are available to schools, universities and government institutions. We do not run accounts for private companies or individuals.

    Complaints

    Direct your enquiry to Brian Sorensen - General Manager via our contact form. Please include a contact phone number. Please do NOT send the enquiry to more than one person or more than once as this can easily involve two or more of us working on your enquiry independently.

    Unsuitable Goods

    Not withstanding our warranty policy, if you are dissatisfied with our goods or service you may return the goods within seven days of our despatch date. It is essential to obtain an authorisation number prior to returning any goods to us. Contact us here. We will refund your purchase in full, less transport costs on receipt of the goods. All returned goods must be in "as sold" condition including all packaging, instructions, invoices etc. We do not accept unauthorised returns.

    Faulty Goods

    Where such goods have been supplied we undertake to repair or replace on an "express service" basis. It is essential to obtain an authorisation number prior to returning any goods to us. Contact us here. We do not accept unauthorised returns. A fee of $25 (ex GST) and return freight cost will apply where upon inspection there is no fault found with the equipment.

    Dangerous Goods Notice

    Some of our products are not suitable for transport by Air Freight due to the nature of their content. These items include all Aerosol products, Sealed Lead-Acid batteries, Ferric Chloride. These items are labeled "Road Freight Only"on the relevant product detail page.

    Payment Options

    We accept a number of payment methods. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Diners Club for retail accounts. For Wholesale accounts we accept MasterCard and Visa only. Alternatively, you may prefer to pay by direct bank deposit, money order or personal cheque.
