Overview

This compressor / limiter is essential for maintaining constant audio levels in PA systems, regardless of the dynamic range of the input signal source. It is installed between the input source and the amplifier and compresses or expands the signal to a constant level. This ensures the amplifier output does not vary greatly between low or high level signals. Typically used in live performances for vocalists and instrument groups, front of house and background music systems.
he A 5360 also includes; expander / gate circuit with variable release time and +15dBu maximum threshold. Stereo or dual mono operation of gating, compression and peak limiting. Hard or soft compression selection. Peak limiting before output stage. Separate sidechain inserts - enables an external processor or signal to control compression or gating. True RMS level detection. LED display for gain reduction. System bypass selection - can still operate if unit is powered down. Both channels include 3 pin balanced XLR and 6.35mm TRS for inputs and outputs. Output pad selects +4dBu or -10dBV for different system applications.
