Overview
This Raspberry Pi 4 Starter Kit contains everything you need to get started designing a new project with the Raspberry Pi 4 platform. The Raspberry Pi 4 is a credit card sized computer that can be used for many of the things that a desktop PC does. The design is based around a Broadcom BCM2711, which includes an ARM Cortex-A72 Quad-core 64bit SOC, running at 1.5GHz. The new Pi 4 is able to simultaneously drive two 4K monitors, in addition to providing two USB 3.0 ports (in addition to another two USB 2.0 ports) and Gigabit Ethernet. It also retains a number of previous features such as MIPI-DSI and CSI interfaces, alongside the 40-pin GPIO header.
We recommend the Raspberry Pi 4 for use in schools, or for any general use. Those wishing to embed their Pi in a project may prefer the Pi Zero or Model A+, which are more useful for embedded projects, and projects which require very low power.
