8 Channel Public Address (PA) Mixer With Tone Generator

This unique Redback PA mixer features six input channels which are user selectable for either balanced mic or line as well as two dedicated line level RCA inputs and a 3.5mm audio jack for portable devices. The unit has six levels of VOX priority on inputs 1- 6 with adjustable VOX sensitivities on each input, and a 24V DC output (limited to 120mA current draw) which becomes live when any triggers are activated or VOX/PTT circuitry becomes active. This model includes a set of Mute contacts which can be connected to the buildings Fire Indicator Board (FIB). When the FIB operates it triggers these contacts, rendering the local PA/BGM system inoperative so the main emergency evacuation system has precedence.

The mixer incorporates an MP3 based message player for playback of Alert/Lockdown, Evacuation/Fire or Chime tones.
The emergency tones once activated, will mute inputs 2 - 8, regardless of their priority settings. Input 1 will override the emergency tones so that it can then be used for emergency paging. With the addition of an A 4660A paging console, paging and activation of the emergency tones can be achieved via the console. Input 1 will still override the emergency tones, but emergency paging from the A 4660A will override input 1.
