Overview
The WiTV portable tv tuner allows you to watch Digial TV over wi-fi. WiTV lets you watch digital broadcasts (DVB-T) TV anywhere you go using your Android/iOS phone or tablet device. The WiTV is a portable tuner that receives live, high-quality broadcast TV and transmits the signal via WiFi to your smartphone or tablet. This connection is 1 to 1, ie the tuner is not capable of streaming to multiple devices watching different channels. The unit pairs with a single device at a time.
The device requires no internet connection and does not consume any 3G/4G data when paired with your phone.
The tuner uses the standard free-to-air electronic program guide (EPG) to provide a quick way to find your favourite shows - and even record them to your device.
Connection to External TV antenna
The adaptor for connecting to external antenna is a PAL socket (female). If you want to connect the WiTV to your home TV aerial, you will need to purchase an adaptor.
Homes with PAL socket wallplate: Purchase P 0234 PAL male to male adaptor.
Homes with F socket wallplate: Purchase P 0234 PAL male to male adaptor AND P 0398 PAL female to F plug adaptor.
